Pre-Appointment Checklist

Please follow these guidelines to make your appointment as smooth and comfortable as possible.

  • Eat a Solid Meal
Eat a hearty, nourishing meal 1 to 2 hours before your appointment to keep your blood sugar stable and prevent fainting.
  • Hydrate
Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours leading up to your session. Hydrated skin takes ink much better.
  • Avoid Alcohol and Blood Thinners
Skip the alcohol, aspirin, and ibuprofen for at least 24 hours beforehand, as these can thin your blood and cause excessive bleeding.
  • Dress Appropriately
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the area getting tattooed and won't rub against the fresh ink afterward.
  • Bring Your ID
Don't forget a valid, government-issued photo ID—you will need it to fill out your release forms.
  • Practice Good Hygiene
Please shower before your appointment, but avoid applying heavy lotions, self-tanner, numbing creams (unless pre-approved), or strong perfumes to the area.
  • Pack for the Session
If it's a longer appointment, bring a water bottle, sugary snacks, and some entertainment like headphones, a book, or a tablet.
  • Get Plenty of Rest
A good night's sleep the night before will help your body manage the stress and pain of the tattoo process.
  • Payment Methods
We accept cash and credit cards. Please ensure you have your preferred payment method ready before your session begins.
We reserve the right to deny or reschedule your appointment if you are unable to meet any of these requirements.

Aftercare Instructions

To ensure your new ink heals perfectly and stays vibrant for years to come, please follow these essential aftercare instructions carefully.

Listen to Your Artist
Leave your bandage or protective film (like Saniderm) on for the exact amount of time your artist recommended.
Wash Gently
Once the bandage comes off, wash the tattoo immediately with warm water and a mild, fragrance-free, antibacterial liquid soap. Use your clean hands only—no washcloths or sponges.
Pat Dry
Gently pat the area dry with a clean paper towel. Do not rub it. Let it air-dry for a few minutes before applying any product.
Moisturize Sparingly
Apply a very thin layer of the recommended aftercare ointment or fragrance-free lotion. Your skin needs to breathe, so if it looks shiny or wet, dab off the excess.
Do Not Pick or Scratch
As it heals, your tattoo will scab, peel, and itch. This is completely normal. Picking or scratching can pull the ink out and cause scarring.
Avoid Submerging
No swimming, hot tubs, or baths for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Short, clean showers are perfectly fine.
Stay Out of the Sun
Keep your fresh tattoo out of direct sunlight until it is fully healed. Do not apply sunscreen to an unhealed tattoo; once it's healed, use SPF 30 or higher to keep the lines crisp.
Wear Loose Clothing
Keep tight clothing, straps, and jewelry away from the healing area to prevent friction and irritation.
